Our Vision That during the last stages of life, every American experiences exceptional care that matches their goals, values and preferences.

Our MissionTo lead the movement of hospice, palliative, and advanced illness care through innovation and collaboration, which is achieved through our not-for-profit, mission-driven providers across the United States, delivering person, family and community-focused care.

The National Partnership for Hospice Innovation (NPHI) is an organization driven by passion and integrity to help people live fully through the end-of-life. Our most important ideas are learned at the bedside, not in the board room.

Our members are person, family and community-focused hospice, palliative care, and advanced illness providers across the country made up of like-minded leaders with expertise and passion for the mission of the highest quality, person and family centered, mission oriented end-of-life care.

NPHI members work to fundamentally change how people and institutions think about the last stages of life. We are experts in managing serious illness and end-of-life care. Our commitment is to help patients and their families experience the end-of-life consistent with their goals, values and preferences.

NPHI is committed to person-centered advanced illness care to ensure individuals can take control of their life and focus on quality and comfort at the last stage of life. We work tirelessly to define the standard of hospice care and guide patients and families through the final stages of life, providing assurance about the right things to do.

We are distinguished by our commitment to people and mission - our innovations are driven by patient and family needs, not profit. Our voice resonates with key decision makers and stakeholders in health care as well as in the communities we serve... to help people live as well as possible until they die.

Advocacy & Communications
Members receive regular updates on NPHI initiatives in Data & Quality, Strategic Engagement and Organizational Excellence. NPHI provides policy and advocacy resources to proactively address policy positions and effectively and quickly react to policy changes.

National Partnership
As a member of NPHI, programs have access to the resources and best practices of a nationwide network of like-minded professionals. NPHI members benefit from:
• High touch NPHI staff engagement
• Network of 100s of dedicated hospice professionals readily available as support
• Opportunity to benchmark data with member programs
• Regular meetings and webinars focused on continuous member improvement

Members are provided with a venue to share, create and adopt best practices for the industry. CEOs are afforded the opportunity to meet in person at least twice a year and virtually at least once per year to collaborate with their peers in an engaging and productive manner. We also facilitate an Annual Summit as an engagement opportunity for additional staff. Our 10 Forums meet regularly.

Orientation & Training
New members are encouraged to begin participating immediately. Orientation webinars are offered at regular intervals. NPHI staff is available to answer all questions regarding membership.

Our members uphold the mission and values of NPHI as well as continue to provide excellent care to align with the partnership's standards of excellence. Participants must have synergistic focus, must make the commitment to participate and give 100% focus on innovation.

Success of the organization is built on collaboration - we encourage all members to participate to the fullest extent they are willing and able to help advance patient, family and community-centered hospice care across the country.
